It very nearly made me ugly cry, so I'm emotionally rating it a 5/5 even if it's not actually that good in reality.

I was fascinated by this book, because the hero was a type that doesn't come up in romance novels often - completely led by the heroine, who was determined to get him as a rich protector. I've read a few with that vague plot, and normally the hero takes over pretty early on, but here, at least for the first part of the book, there was a certain amount of finding himself in situations he wasn't even sure he wanted to be in. Kind of refreshing.

Stephen was an angel indeed. I just didn't like a heroine that much but whatever. Lovely read.

This was by no means a bad book. The characters were cute, the story was believable, and the writing was solid. That said, it lacked creativity, and kind of felt like a hundred other romances I've read. It didn't have as much of a unique angle as hers usually do. Oh well, it was still a quick read and a fun and happy book.

Only a 3 on the delightful scale, but only because no one accused anyone of telling any bouncers. Totally acceptable and fun otherwise.

This was the steamiest of the four books, but I still enjoyed it very much.

I really enjoyed this episode of the Huxtable saga. Didn't think I would since it was so similar to the last one, but it proved to be good anyway. I'm looking forward to Constantine's story next.

I think I’ve had enough of MB for a while. Perhaps I would have liked this more if I’d had a bigger break between books. Stephen is described as a milksop at one point in the story and I’d just have to agree. I just wanted to get this one finished to move on to something better.
