One of Balogh's best. The characters, particularly the heroine, have real-life reasons for their feelings and behaviors and although there's a bit of a brushover on one aspect of the story's wrapup, it doesn't spoil the conclusion one bit. Loved this romantic and sometimes even realistic romance.

Found it a bit boring. A first for me with a Balogh book.

3.5: On the one hand, I’m glad that it wasn’t the woman who was considered to be an angel. But the word “angel” makes me fundamentally uncomfortable, and that is probably why I didn’t care for this book as much as the others, much as I liked the characters and the plot. Mary Balogh always has the wisest characters and makes things... fun. But the theme of the title really didn’t work for me.

It left the Balogh mold a bit and I really liked the protagonist.

In a twist the angel in this story was the man not the woman, but my goodness if he was referred to as an angel one more time I was going to puke.
