I have always enjoyed Tracy Brogan's style of writing. She is very funny, & uses current catch-phrases which make it seem like you're listening to your friends talk. I think this is what makes her novella work well. It can be very difficult to create connections to the main character(s) to really root for them, AND move the story along fast enough to end it without it becoming a book.

I was able to read this in one evening (fulfilled a task on my reading challenge - thank you!) and truly enjoyed the experience.

Kelsey is sick of Christmas. She's an assistant buyer for one of the largest Christmas stores in the country, and constantly looking at wreaths and tinsel all day and everyday has her in an anti-Christmas, bah-humbug burnout. To add to her career woes, she's not feeling her current relationship. Her boyfriend (and also her boss) left her high and dry to take care of her spunky grandma alone and proceeded to fly off to Hawaii on their planned vacation while she re-routed her trip to her hometown, Bell Harbor.

Drew is Bell Harbor's most eligible bachelor. Lots of the women in town try to get their claws into him, but he has always remembered Kelsey Parker as The Girl. The one who he will always remember as his dream girl, and no one else has come close to his memory of her. When Drew overhears Kelsey at his family's tree farm venting to her sister about her relationship woes, Drew sees his in.

This is a really cute, uplifting Christmas novella. It's quick, light and gives you warm fuzzies just in time for the upcoming holidays. There is plenty of humor to keep you entertained, and the quirky residents of Bell Harbor will keep you reading to see what else is in store. The romance is steamy, but the sex is a tasteful fade to black.

I really enjoyed reading this story to get me into the Christmas mindset, and it also has me intrigued to the rest of the Bell Harbor series. This is free on Kindle Unlimited, so give it a try!
