The way that Belly is written makes it hard to keep reading. Since Belly is the main character it is hard to enjoy the other parts of the writing.

The characters are one dimensional with zero personality and annoying af (with the exception of dear Cam Cameron) If you thought show Belly was bad, just you wait… Somehow, she’s even worse in the book. But maybe that’s just my 27-year old aging ass who cant relate to teens anymore talking.
The writing is flat, choppy and very surface level. Barely any descriptions of anything. If I hadn’t watched the show beforehand, I would have the biggest trouble picturing anything in my mind.
The only thing worse than a love triangle, is a love triangle involving brothers.
It’s just…. baddddd. And somehow I want to keep reading? It’s like seeing a car crash happening, despite better judgment I really can’t look away.
