Still in love with those two. Seeing Nick growing, learning about himself and starting to realize what kind of friends he had and that those friendships didn’t make sense for him anymore was inspiring, there are many adults that are still unable to let go of bad friends for their insecurities. I how Nick will really go through with it. I had to hold my tears when Nick

came out to his mom

. One last thing: Charlie,15, saying he never thought something like that would happen to him got my eyes rolling. Teenagers… 😁

A great continuation of the series. I enjoyed this book even more than the first. The illustrations in this book were much better - I like the blue tone. I also feel that the transitions between scenes in the book were much smoother. This book was cute and I could feel myself smiling while reading it.

Well, this series continues to be so dang cute. There's such a tenderness for these characters as they navigate love and friendship and coming out, even when it's tough and terrifying. Here's hoping Nick's friends get on board or go away. Bonus: this volume in particular brought back core memories of high school crushes and late-night texting.
