I just love these characters and their friendship so much. So happy we got to delve into D.C, Jordan, and Bears perspectives

I was struggling a little with this one. It usually takes me a bit to get into a story about the side characters. I do love D.C, Bear and Jordan, I just. It just didn't do it for me. I wasn't really digging it by the halfway point but thankfully it picked up a bit after there. In all honesty, it wasn't bad and I do think that it wasn't as bad as I found it. I think maybe I was a little too eager to move onto Vardaesia 😂

I'm always unsure about novellas since I never know whether it will add to the series or detract from it. However, I believe [b:We Three Heroes|38459424|We Three Heroes (The Medoran Chronicles, #4.5)|Lynette Noni|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1529061945l/38459424._SY75_.jpg|60085421] is a must-read for all readers of [b:The Medoran Chronicles - Akarnae, Raelia, Draekora, Graevale|35692786|The Medoran Chronicles - Akarnae, Raelia, Draekora, Graevale|Lynette Noni|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1500289176l/35692786._SX50_.jpg|57180504]. Since we've already followed D.C., Bear and Jordan for 4 books, reading these short stories from their POVs adds a real depth to their characters before the final novel of the series.
Crowns and Curses is from D.C.'s POV and is about her life as a princess before the events of the other novels in the Akarnae series. Scars and Silence is told from Jordan's POV and is about his recovery from the traumatic events that occur in [b:Draekora|29570559|Draekora (The Medoran Chronicles, #3)|Lynette Noni|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1475994725l/29570559._SY75_.jpg|49898797]. Hearts and Headstones is from Bear's POV showing us more about Bear's family life and his curiosity about inventions.
I would recommend this book to anyone who has read [b:The Medoran Chronicles - Akarnae, Raelia, Draekora, Graevale|35692786|The Medoran Chronicles - Akarnae, Raelia, Draekora, Graevale|Lynette Noni|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1500289176l/35692786._SX50_.jpg|57180504] but make sure you've read the first 4 books. It reveals more about Alex's 3 friends and gives us a better sense of the world they live in before the final instalment of the series.
Happy reading x

These novellas are great! They give us so much more information about Alex's 3 best friends and I loved every second. The audiobook was great!

RE-READ
I was actually disappointed that I didn't love this as much as I remember...
Jordan's novella was difficult to get through, mainly because I struggled to see through my tears.
Looking forward to finally reading the last book in this series to find out how it all ends.

Brilliant Novella that gave me great insite to the supporting characters. A few little nuggets of Gold that hint to things to come so definitely worth the read!!!
