Excellent & accessible summary of the French & Indian War. I just love pre-America America.
This book was unfortunately a bit dry, but more than made up for it with an extremely detailed history of the French and Indian war, or the War of Seven Years. I learned so much from this book that it made me want to go out and get more books on the subject and related wars.
The history of the native Americans and their part in the war was largely unknown to me, as we are taught in school that the natives basically did the bidding of their colonial masters without explaining why, what their motives were, and their level of political sophistication.
This is a must-read for high school students, college freshmen, and any American interested in his or her country's beginnings.
