Another banger from Raya! She knows how to write a dark cowboy with redeeming qualities. The love he shows to Freya shows that the right person can change you for the better.

I have read previous books by Raye Morrison Edwards and loved them. I have unfortunately not read the first two books of this series The Sovereign Mountain, but I adored this book. Freya’s mother abandoned her leaving her with her stepfather and stepbrothers. Her stepfather Aiden is a mean, ornery man who belittles and demeans her. When the family relocates to Montana from Kentucky the family suddenly has money and are all driving big expensive trucks but Freya is still treated liked a hired housekeeper. Deacon lives on the adjoining land and he’s a rough much older man who also had a terrible childhood. Yet when he gets a glimpse of Freya he sees all his dreams coming true. He wants a wife and family. It’s so darn cute how he spends the first few months just staring at her. The romance between these two was so interesting. Now this is a dark romance with some BDSM aspects and loads of kink. This was an incredibly addictive book once I started, I couldn’t stop till it ended. Loved it.

Holy shit. This book is the best of the series thus far. I ate it up like you wouldn't believe. Well, if you've read it, you probably would. Honestly I've said this before but Edward's can write like nobodies business. The way she crafts a story, weaves a dystopian like vibe through every single book with BDSM and dark romance is poetic.
Truly. I loved this book so much, and the series as a whole. Amazing.
