The possibility of you is better than the reality of anyone else.

Okay, after this book, I'm asking for my time back, although maybe it was my fault, because I should have known, if I didn't like the previous one, why would I like this now, but enemies to lovers caught me - and how wrong I was to give in to temptation.

Jules was still lovable to me because there was at least a bit of fire in her, but Josh was something horrible. While the former had flaws — exceptional — and bad choices, she still had the image to coexist with them and try to become a better person. But Josh? My goodness, typical man who can't see — and doesn't want to — see beyond his nose because it's perfect for the way it is. Their relationship was toxic from the start, not because they were “enemies,” but because they were like fire and water, and not in the best way.

I don't remember much of the plot (thank goodness), so I can't really comment on it, but the pace was pretty good and the time jumps weren't distracting.

Josh and Jules were a fun pair. They are witty and snarky with one another. A slow burn for years that finally flares up. I enjoyed their drama. Max makes an appearance and of course wrecks the situation because he feels owed. Jules has cleaned up her act and moved on to better things. So many secrets in one relationship. Not as huge and dramatic as Alex and Ava situation but still impactful and entertaining. This was easier to relate to than the other couples. Charming and smaller drama. Things explode and josh ends up begging for Jules to take him back.
