I finished the the book within an hour. and I am a slow reader. That is how short this story is. And honestly it is eating away at me. Although, I think that was the point.
Point to note: I am big Flynn fanatic. I just bought it, because I had to own another one of her books.I didn't realise this was a sort of paranormal thriller until I started reading it.
But I did like it. The story. There is a line that goes "Her handbag was too plain to be anything but incredibly expensive." I just fell in love with Flynn all over again. I mean I am already a big fan, but yes, you could love someone a little more every time.
The Grownup will leave you unsatisfied. Not because it's a bad story. No! But that is the point of the story.

The Grownup was a weird, creepy little treat that made me laugh more than expected. The very first line let me know I was in for a good time. The plot twist was pretty…unique. It sort of un-twisted then re-twisted again, but I’m not mad at it. Having an ambiguous ending seemed to work well for this particular story.
