I definitely found this book to be creepy! This is a really good ghost story to read on Halloween (not to kids though lol). It's made even creepier by the twist and inconclusive ending. Also, the narrator isn't named, making it seem all the creepier. It reminded me a lot of The Conjuring movie or Paranormal Activity.

Witty, fun, weird.
Retrospectively hilarious.

The initial segment of the narrative followed a predictable path, featuring a female narrator employing manipulative tactics for personal gain. Then the second part was really good because it was quite unexpected. I didn't know if I should believe Susan or Miles. Personally, I think they're both unhinged and a little sociopathic. I wanted to read more, I wanted more out of this story but then it ended with a disappointing sense of ambiguity.

Part of my short horror era, and a decent summer read. Interesting story, gullible lead.

Creepy little book.
