I definitely want to read the full length novel that could come out of this short story. I found the protagonist delightful and highly relatable in her introspective approach to grifting and the twists and turns were wild, frequent, at times predictable but overall enjoyable.

I love everything else Gillian Flynn but I did not get this. It was not meant for a short story and the ending being left up to interpretation felt sloppy. The whole thing was a let down.

It was an unexpected read! I laughed out loud when I read the last page. It was ironic, and so creative. Fantastic short book!
4.5* - Note that this is a single short story. Gillian Flynn must have some twisted mind to come up with what she writes. And I’m glad she does.
