Book of the Month Club sent this little novella (more of a short story) as a bonus book for January '17. It was actually an enjoyable horror/mystery thriller with some twists that I did not see coming and a satisfying ending.
Idk it was ok I guess. Easy lil freaky read if you're looking to up your numbers quickly, otherwise not worth imo. Try Sour Candy instead. Similar vibes novella, way more interesting.

This was a creepy but well written short story.
Well that was MESSED up. My favorite book podcast had an episode on propulsive, can't miss novellas and short books, and this one made the list. It certainly fit the bill, but I'm still like, "wait, what just happened?" Who got played? Who did the playing? Are there ANY good guys? I guess I'll never know.

If you're familiar with Gillian Flynn's stuff, this is pretty much what you expect. Unlikable, unreliable narrators, and a twist. Creepy.
