I'm not usually a short story/novella person, but I enjoyed this. Weird and kept you as unsure of what was really going on as the ultimately naive main character. I wish it was a full book though - I always feel cheated when I like something and it ends so quickly.

I like the character's here, twisted is definitely the word for them. However, this was so short that trying to condense a horror/thriller into barely a sixth of a standard 300 page novel didn't work for me.

Also, not going to lie, the fact that the blurb didn't match up with what the story was about, did disappoint me.

I know it's a short story but she left the ending COMPLETELY wide open...
I love all her books, but feel like if she made this into a full novel like her other stories, I would have enjoyed it more. :(
