So I read this because I really wanted to read one more book before the end of 2018, and since this was super short I decided to pick it up.

This is my second Gillian Flynn book and I really enjoy her as an author. This was a very interesting story about this woman who goes to this house where weird things are happening in an attempt to fix it. However, things get really weird and scary and she is forced to try to make it out of there alive.

I think the beginning of the this book was great. It was intriguing and I was totally invested in the story and couldn't wait to see what would happen next. The middle had me on the edge of my seat, and then the ending happened. Now, I got the ending. I understand what the author was doing and for that reason I didn't hate it, but I wish it would have ended a little differently.

When I purchased this book I did not realize it was a short story, not that anything is wrong with that. It was a very easy read and very unpredictable. I've loved everything I've read Gillian Flynn and this was no exception.

This novella has possibly the most original opening line I've ever read...
