I liked our time in the West. I like this semi-royal setting - reminds me of Atalanta and just a nice classical/mythic vibes which I'm into right now.  Lots of side-characters and simmering side-plots and motives which keeps things interesting. A couple misses, like the princess faking her death storyline was really uninteresting to me and I'm not sure how much it adds to the story. Freaky JinMao has my respect and am loving the dynamic between Maomao and Lahan, Rikuson too, and kinda Basen too actually.

🌕🌸 I devoured this volume as though it were air itself, each page pulled me deeper until the ending left me utterly breathless. The story built with such intensity that by the time I reached the last chapters, I was clinging to every word, heart racing. And then came the epilogue: sharp, teasing, and irresistible. It felt like being offered a feast yet allowed only the first intoxicating bite, a glimpse of everything I’ve longed for but not yet allowed to grasp. The perfect cruelty. I closed the book desperate, exhilarated, already reaching for the next.
