a wonderful story about bears, conservation, and the relationship between humans and our surroundings/fellow animals. if you like call of the wild, wolf totem, or just the outdoors in general this book is for you. if you like bears the accompanying photos are amazing and really make the book for me.
as far as I can tell the only difference from the original 1993 print is the afterword by the author. the afterword added a bittersweet note to the overall narrative.
