Wow, I DEVOURED this book! I completely got swept away in Lennon and Maddox’s story. I have been waiting for Madman’s book and it did not disappoint. These two have a short past and never ended the way they wanted to, but now life has thrown a curve ball and surprise pregnancy was not on the bingo card. Lennon has to figure out what she’s doing to do when her life has already been mapped out and not at all what see wants. Maddox has started to accomplish what he has always dreamed about and now the one who got away appears back in his life. Let the drama, emotional whiplash, insane chemistry, and family nosiness and banter begin. Maddox and Lennon will grab your heart and never let go in Breathtaking. You will be holding your breath until you find out how their journey will end. I love the characters we have met along the way in this series and it was an epic way to end this one. I think Maddox stole a piece of my heart and I’m all for it. Plus, Maddox gives you Sam vibes(2.0 version), which if you know you know. If not, go read Rise of the King.

Oh my word, Madman did not disappoint, neither did Lennon for that matter! I absolutely LOVED seeing Sam and Amelia again! Ugh, the hint of "touch her and die" was *chef's kiss*!!! I was giggling, smiling and kicking my feet the whole time! Also, can we just talk about those new characters for minute.... I AM OBSESSED! I need MORE!!!

I’m not normally hugely into a surprise pregnancy, but this story was done so very well. FMC Lennon is a famous ballerina and actual princess. MMC Maddox is a mafia prince from a well-known family. Lennon and Maddox had a long-ago relationship that Lennon broke off because of familial obligations and an arranged engagement to a duke she hates. In an effort to get away for a bit, Lennon flees to America to visit her old roommate and ends up in a snowy car crash and who is miraculously there to save her? Maddox of course. A steamy ONS ensues, and the next day Lennon learns that Maddox slept with her cousin after she broke up with him and flees again back to Europe. Months after, she finds out she’s pregnant. She knows she has to tell Maddox and she has to do it in person. Of course, this is tenuous and scary. Maddox eventually comes around and saves her from the terrible duke and a lifetime of abuse and misery. This is a wonderful story full of drama and angst, but the characters also have adult conversations and pretty much deal with things head on, like adults. They fought for each other and had each other’s backs when it was necessary. I thoroughly loved it!

Breathtaking is the last book in the Red Lips and White Lies series, which I think is one of Bella’s best series to date! We finally get Maddox’s story and what a way to send us off. I am not sure what I was expecting for Maddox but I was not expecting him to be so gone for this girl. Lennon was always meant to be his.
Lennon & Maddox have a history that we never really got to see but all things come back around on a snowy night when Lennon needs some saving. That night results in a pregnancy that changes everything for Lennon. Lennon is a princess who has always been told what to do and who to marry. Her connection with Maddox has made her choose between going against her family or doing what they want. This is Maddox’s chance to show Lennon that he is the one for her and that he could protect her. I love that quality Maddox! Their love came really easy and was pretty natural. I also absolutely loved Lennon’s brothers, especially Atticus. They brought so much charm and chaos in the best way!
What I would have liked from this book would be some of the past interactions between Lennon & Maddox to help us understand how their relationship started. More interactions with Grace since that is supposed to be her best friend. And the ending needed a bit more to happen, it was really slow paced toward the end.
