It wasn’t bad, but I didn’t like it as much as the last one. I think it’s very difficult to redeem a woman that you set up as unlikable from minute one cause....the patriarchy. So it’s partly on me for falling victim to that. I also think I just struggle to like books where one of the characters....character is that they’re kind of an entitled brat, which was the case here.

Recommended for: people who don’t have a problem with rich people, fans of class division romances

1. The conflict in Best Friend’s Ex was sooooo good and this conflict just fell a bit flat.

2. I did not find the evolution of Georgiana’s character compelling. Especially since we knew Racer going into the book, more work was required for readers to bond with her and I just felt it was ineffective. If there’s a whole character you don’t like, it’s hard to get in the book.

3. Presumably Georgiana’s SIL is from another book but I was not a fan of her. Between her and Georgiana’s parents there were so many caricatures of a person running around....

3.5⭐️ Like with all MQ books, the story and writing were great. However, I listened to the audiobook and could not stand the narration. The male narrator kept laughing throughout the dialogue, which I found annoyong, and he was not great at switching roles. This overall tainted my reading experience. I absolutely
loved the first two of the series so don’t let this make you shy away!

What to expect:
-Blue collar hero
-Wealthy heroine
-Controlling father
-Enemies to lovers
-Slow burn
-Small town
-Cameos from our Binghamton friends

Racer...

So Tucker (precious book in the series) is still my favorite but Racer is definitely a close second. He is so funny but somehow alpha at the same time. Loved this story.

This may just tie The Virgin Romantic Novelist as my favorite Meghan Quinn book. Racer is a swoon worthy, sassy man. I loved seeing Georgiana grow and become her own woman. This book had me laughing in public and has a special place in my heart.

Oh how I love Meghan Quinn books. This book focuses on Racer McKay and Georgiana(Princess, aka Georgie) this book like the one before it, "My Best Friends Ex" is hysterically funny. Along with the humor is the love, and real meat of the relationship between two people who could not be more different if they tried. In the first book Racer was a secondary character and best friend of Tucker, this time it's reversed, and he really get to see that there is so much more to Racer than just a smart alek attitude. Georgiana is such a clueless ding a ling it's hard to like her or her best friend Madison at first, but Georgie in her attempt to strike out on her own grows on you, as she grows into a functioning adult. This book is told in alternating views.

Racer was okay when he was just a side character in previous books, but he got on my nerves throughout this entire story. I didn't really like him at all. He acted immature most of the time, and I just can't get with that.
I loved Georgiana though. I loved her drive and determination to make her dreams come true despite her father not believing in her. And Georgiana and Racer's storyline was good.

Opposites do attract.. though they are more alike then they knew. Rich girl crosses path with broke hard working boy. She's out of his league... or is she? The childlike playfulness Racer brings into pretty much every situation really brings this book alive. It's filled with laugh out loud scenes and yet there is a realness about these characters. You can't help but love them all! There are also a scene or two that you will need tissues for. Be warned! This is a stand alone, but it does go hand in hand with Co-Wrecker and My Best Friend's Ex. (The same characters in each book, just centers around different couples.) They are all great reads, but this one has a lot more humor (all the pranks and banter between the main couple... Racer and Georgiana.) I was laughing so hard at some points I almost woke the sleeping babies! lol

Their story isn't necessarily a new one, but the execution of this romance is almost perfection. :) As I said, it's humorous, it's sexy, it's fun, it's heartwarming and it's heart breaking... all rolled into one good book! It' reads easily and rather quickly. There are some scenes that make this book for the 18+ crowd, but nothing too smutty or risque.

Oh my Racer!

Yep he is a contractor that I would love to have come give me a "hand" with whatever he feels like fixing.

Okay, so yes my cherries were twisting in knots with the love and hate relationship of Racer and Georgiana!

I loved that Racer had me constantly laughing being silly and just straight up ridiculous with his antics.

Georgiana is such a strong, independent woman who is striving to open her dream boutique and will do whatever she has to do to prove to her father that it can be done.

When Racer takes the job on helping Georgiana because to him it is just another job to keep him busy, they both can't stand each other.  Such high tension and banter back and forth that kept me well entertained on whether or not they would ever get along.

Their love and hate relationship was a fun one to read and when it starts to get sexy, boy did it drill into a massive intense project that neither of them thought could ever be possible.

Love Author Meghan Quinn's romantic comedies.

Always filled with fun twists that leave me in such a delightful book hangovers.

I loved Racer and Georgiana. This story was hilarious and exciting. There is something fresh about a story where the guy doesn't come from money but the girl does. Racer is a little intimidated by the money factor but he knew he had something to make him worthy of Georgiana. And the way he stood up to her father! *swooooon*
