I liked this one a lot more than I liked the first one. Main character still was a bit annoying st times though. This one was better though, look forward to the next one, I’m assuming will be about Ava??

I'm still new to the romance genre. But trying to get unto it after coming to the realization, that's an aspect that's been missing from my life after I subconsciously gave up on the concept several years ago. It still seems alien to me to see characters who are so into each other. But it was pleasant to watch the story unfold. I genuinely appreciated the handling of race matters by the author. Her characters embrace their cultural existence w/ their whole chest, without making the story about that. It's a fine line that most authors struggle with. There were sine diversity elements of the story that did feel forced as if they were added for the sake of being diverse, but their Latinidad was not one of them and those elements weren't too distracting. I appreciated the story of Gabe navigating his own stubbornness and the dynamic with his family and his feeling of needing to make it on his own without them I could relate to that a lot. Overall, a decent story. Kinda cheesey and unrealistic at times, but idk if that's part of the romance genre in general.

This felt very much like Wattpad, disappointing because cover is stunning and premise had potential.

7/10 - so back in the day i loved “you had me at hola” or the first book in this series, but after reading all of the books i have & now knowing the difference between a good and ok book, this was just average, the story line was average, characters were average, smut was average, but a smidge too early in the book & not really anything special, did i still like the story? yes, also i personally identify as michelle, too engulfed in my career to care about my love life, again a decent story, just nothing special
