I can’t really put into words how much I loved this book series. It wasn’t like anything i read before. From the world building, to the characters, to the plot i believe that the author made a great job. Nova is outstanding and the constant inner battle between her principals is just wow. This book made me realize that is no good and bad. The most important thing about us is not what part of the barricade we were born into but what we choose to do and what we stand for. She is the perfect example of fighting for your values and also realizing that it is never to late to stand up for yourself.

How rude of Marissa to put that little epilogue in there and then NOT WRITE ANOTHER BOOK.

such a bizarre time reading - I flew through it, like would blink and 50 pages had gone by. BUT - it didn't really grip me? I adore some of the characters (Max, Ruby & Oscar were such delightful characters to read) but I just wanted more. This almost felt like the whole series could have been condensed into one book and it would have given the same oomf HOWEVER I still had fun reading this, so can't complain too much. It just felt like there was such a quick resolution given everything that was built up in the first two books and all the secrets etc to get such an easy, quick, forgiveness-filled ending to the series? Would have loved to have explored the characters and their moral dilemmas a bit more

the ending was wiiiiild

i can’t BELIEVE ace killed novas family AND that magpie is evie?! i feel like i predicted evie was alive but then i disregarded that.

i liked the way everything wrapped but but i felt like the nova is nightmare and adrian is the sentinel reveal could’ve been bigger somehow? idk i wasn’t like wowed by it. i think because it got teased for so long.

the reveal where adrian created phobia OUCHHHH

adrian and nova are so cute together i love them sm

I loved how this series ended. I was so invested through out this whole book waiting for the pin to drop where everyone knows who is who and what is happening.
This book and the series as a whole does a fantastic job or morally grey thinking. How different people can want the same outcome but can go at it at different angles. It also highlights how people can be idolise and not live up to the pedestal with put them on or how we will morph who they really are to fit out image and ignore evidence that contradicts it.
The ending was a surprise as I was expecting it but not the twist. The epilogue just hurt and now I need another book to resolve that.

I really enjoyed this series and hope that others can sit down and really take in how well this is written and the topics that it tackles and how they are brought up.

I really enjoyed this book. At times it felt repetitive but it did keep me guessing the whole time. I never saw the end coming in all honesty. And that epilogue??? Really!!!!??? Now I want more! Great story. So unique. The last half kept me glued to the page. Great ending to a great story.
