i have to say this series is the definition of scandalous, the plot twists and cliffhangers are wild. I'm literally gasping and cursing out loud every few pages. The characters however are all deplorable. Marist is too stupid, how is she always making these silly deals with people clearly more adept at manipulation. Royce is just barely there as a character. McAllistar is a sick sick individual but I will acknowledge very intriguing.

Ugh I really don't like any of these characters or the relationships but of course the cliffhanger has me moving on to book 3. Fingers crossed I don't regret it
