More suspense than the first book. But FOR REAL those scenes with her and Macalister were awful...they made me throw up in my mouth a little each time.

Book 2 is so intense but at times it was a bit hard to get through. I love the inderlayer of Greek mythology and how it is playing into the storyline. I hate the forced nature of Marist and Macalister but at the same time I like the hold she has over him and I think he could get what he wanted if he would set her free and stop trying to control her. I wonder if they will ever beat him at his own game or if Marist will keep taking more deals and digging herself a deeper grave. I'm ready to dive into book 3!

This book is wild, and I loved every second of it. A part of me is rooting for Macalister, but I still enjoyed the romance with Royce.
