Thanks to netgalley I was lucky to be able to receive a free copy of silent waters by LV Matthews is exchange for my honest opinion

In silent waters, Jen is a diver for the police, helping to look for anything criminal or untoward, however, when assigned to a particular case, it is a lot closer to home than first thought

This was a great read. I found the beginning slightly slow, which may just be a personal view, however, around half way through there is a great twist and from there the book just got addictive! I couldn't stop reading and I wanted to find out what was going to happen next!

The story does have twists that are fab and work so well and the ending is great. Not too rushed, a nice conclusion to the whole story with a twist!

This was my first book written by this author and I would absolutely read her work again! I have now added more of her titles to my TBR pile!

A suspenseful read which does not follow the conventional Pixar story approach. I think the suspense was built throughout the audiobook version and the narrators voice with the inflictions in tone. As usual an unforeseen ending but well built throughout the book. A good read for those in search of mystery and thriller.

Probably one of the most complicated crime novels I’ve ever read. So many twists and turns. Just when you think you know something, you find out you couldn’t be more wrong. Immense. Really enjoyed it and found it hard to actually put it down.

Only qualm would be that despite all the effort put into such an intricate web of deceit, there felt to be little to no effort regarding the ending. It was pretty much summed up in two pages which I feel was marginally disappointing. Not that I was anticipating a whole novel on that, but it just felt all too brief, which is unfortunate and did feel as though it subtracted from the book as a whole.

Generally though, incredibly fun book and what’s even greater is it’s one where the perpetrator is someone you know (it’s the worst when it’s a surprise offender that you couldn’t have even begun to guess!)

Would definitely read it again and would definitely recommend to others!
