this book was keeping me company on breaks at work which is why it took me so long to finish but it was a very well told (albeit infuriating to read sometimes bc the Racism she faced was obviously a main theme) narrative about the beautiful and talented anna may wong. it was very cool to learn more about her after having her briefly discussed in a film class I took a few years ago which is what initially captured my interest in her. she did so much with her life and career it’s incredible so I’m really glad i picked this up.
