This fun friends to lovers romance  featured football players, cupcakes and finding a job you love. I liked how August was uncomfortable with going viral, but how Sloan helped him to be more comfortable to be able to promote the bakery. August was also able to help her with her job search.

Not as good as the first one but still enjoyable. This was a really slow burn, emphasis on SLOW. 🐢 The main characters literally did not get together until 75% of the way through. But they were very cute together.

A great follow up to the second book. While the will they won't they dragged a bit in the middle, the rest of the pacing was pretty good. Sloane and August were such robust, well developed characters. The resolving all the trauma bits were a bit rushed, but we are here for a happy ending, so the author had to give us a happy ending. I am ready for Nicholas' book.

Enjoyed the story, but the characters acted inconsistent with their personalities at key points in the story and this book had the same problem as the first one: everything was resolved a little too smoothly.
