What a cute little romance book. It has second chance romance and takes place in a cupcake store run by NFL players. What else can you ask for? The fmc is the sister of one of the store owners who is trying to get her dream social media manager job. In order to show this job she has the chops she starts to run the cupcake store social media account. Unfortunately that means working with her old crush and other store owners, August, her brother’s best friend and team mate. August has gone viral for a pro female speech that has all the ladies swooning. So now she has to work closely with him to promote the store. And man does tension and sparks fly. I had a great time reading this book. This is the second standalone book in this universe but I didn’t realize when I picked it up and had no problem starting with this one.

I wanted to love this one but it was a slow start and I just couldn’t process the timeline of Sloane and August’s first relationship. She was in high school and he was in college? And in a long term relationship? I couldn’t get past that. Also didn’t care for all of the female fans groping August as if it wasn’t a big deal. Disappointed since I loved the first in the series so much!

Cute, fun and sweet second book. I like the fact that if you didn’t read the first book it wouldn’t matter that much. To be fair I did read in order. The author writing is fun and I adored the characters together and individually.

This is a super fun, sweet, and sexy second chance, brother’s best friend romance. The MMC is a professional football player, baker and a feminist, like swoon. This man is the epitome of a man written by a woman, he’s sweet, shy, funny, loyal, and wears slutty little reading glasses when he is cozied up with a good book. I’m going to have to read more from this author!!
