LĂȘ-se quase sofregamente, mas fiquei com vontade de o ler de novo, para saborear com mais detalhe. Muito bom.

4+ because a few times it felt like it went a bit too far or else it would have been a firm 5. Elsa's grand-mother has given her a treasure hunt to do when she dies that links to their fairytales from the land-of-half-awake. Set in the real world, this is part fairy tale and part heart-wrenching story about the secret lives of the people around you. You never know what a person has lived through that makes them the way they are.
Backman is certainly one of my new favourite authors.

Confusing to read at first. Over time it reveals to the reader that they have already gained a very deep analysis of the characters through fairytales without even knowing. It is also entails the grieving process of a little girl. At first I thought this might be a children's book, but the ideas explored and how it is told is very complex.
started this a long time ago and then i experienced loss of multiple grandparents back to back. felt good and healing to come back to this. really tragic but beautiful story telling from perspective of a child. great imaginative scenery while also working through grief and loss
