Very spicy at moments. A cute love story of a lost love and family, and of course football!

It felt a little more realistic than the first one, which I liked. But the story is a bit heavier and some of the issues touched on in the story deserved a bit more time, I think.

I love sports romance and this series has been so much fun to read! I love Poppy, TK and Ace. Poppy is dedicated to giving her son the best life she can and Ace is a spit fire who loves sports. When TK Moore spots Poppy at her job, he knows he can't just walk away from her again.

This series is so much fun! This was a great book and a fast read, I can not wait to read the next one!

Mini Audiobook Review: 4.5 - Thank you so much to PRH Audio for the complimentary copy of this book!

This book made a big splash in the last few months due to a highly profile relationship between a certain pop star and a certain football player whose initials are TK. And Alexa has confirmed that Travis Kelce was the inspo for TK Moore.

Once again Alexa has done it again! I absolutely loved this one and I thought Poppy being a single mom was a fun touch to the book (in majority of my romances, neither the FMC or MMC are parents). I also thought that it was smart for Alexa to include that Poppy's son is aware that he has dad and that he didn't know he existed which made that storyline go a little smoother.

Poppy got lucky being surrounded by such great WAGs with children that she can share this new world with as well as surround Ace with other athlete's children.

My only qualm is that I understood Poppy's concerned with CTE and the dangers of concussions but I don't know. They just started to date again and I know he is the father of her son but I wasn't sure if she should've been in the position to make that decision for him?

These books are turning into being just such a fun series - on to the next!

This was so fun, I read it in two sittings. I instantly loved Poppy and she quickly showed herself to be a strong, badass women who wasn't going to take any crap from anyone or let others intimidate her or make her feel inferior. After her first encounter (or re-encounter) with TK I knew I would soon be swooning over him and I was right. Yes he had me mad sometimes, but overall he was amazing and supportive and I totally fell for him. Ace was the most adorable, sweet kid and seeing all three of them together had my heart growing. There were definitely some ups and downs in Poppy and TK's new relationship and I really felt for Poppy's concerns as she tried to protect not only her son, but her heart. The ending was wonderful and shocking and I could not be happier. I also appreciate how the danger of football/sports and CTE was demonstrated throughout this story because it is something that is so often glossed over in American culture and I love how fiercely Poppy was going to protect her son AND how TK respected her wishes. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series.

My favorite one so far! I loved Poppy and TK! I think a part of me really related to Poppy being a single mom. I loved seeing how her relationship developed with TK and all that he was willing to give up for their family. So many emotions felt throughout. Laughed, anger, sadness. Looking forward to reading the next one!

Two high school sweetheart reunite in an unconventional meeting and there’s a nine year old secret between them.

Fumbled follows Poppy Patterson, a single mom to nine year-old Ace, as she reunites and rekindles her love with TK Moore, NFL star and her high school sweetheart. He also happens to be her son’s father but thanks to his evil mother, he never knew she was pregnant.

I loved Fumble so much more than I expected. It’s a smooth, mid-angst love story with some spice. It was my first book by Alexa Martin and while I was a little nervous in the beginning about the writing I found myself loving it more and more as I continued reading. Her heroine, Poppy, is authentically herself. I loved being inside her mind as lived her life with all these surprises and new chapters. She’s funny, cautious, and when she loves, she loves hard. I really enjoyed to see her connect with other women in her life and their friendships were so funny and full of love.

T.K. Moore is a jokester of the team and very focused on the game, at least until Poppy came back into his life. Since this book was only in Poppy’s POV, I didn’t really get to know him as much as Poppy but I ended up liking him a lot nonetheless. I was a little nervous about him in the beginning with all the secret baby but after a rough start he was so in love with Poppy and Ace. He was a great dad from the beginning. He was also obsessed with Poppy and I can’t ask for more.

This book also deals with the long term repercussions of what professional American Football can lead to, such as frequent concussions, injuries and other traumatic experiences the players can have. It was very interesting and I loved how determined and knowledgeable Poppy was about the whole argument. I loved her standing ground.

Fumbled is a sweet romance, with perfect angst and a great introduction for new found sport romance lovers!

I really liked what I saw of TK in the first book but this book took me on a ride emotionally and I'm still not sure where I land on that regarding him. My favorite part of the book was Poppy and her son Ace's relationship. So heartwarming and pure! She is truly a fantastic parent. I felt that the ending was a little rushed but had a good sentiment so I'll let it slide.

Absolutely love when a book starts right away and Fumbled did just that when introducing Poppy, single mom working at a gentlemen’s club as a waitress and TK, all-star football athlete who happens to be Poppy’s first love. This one was hilarious and sexy and snarky and basically everything I could want in a romance! Its slight downfall might’ve been that things happened so quickly, towards the end there it kind of struggles a bit, but this one set the next book (I hope there’s another book) so perfectly! These characters were EVERYTHING!!
