Oh wow. What an ending!
Ridiculously I found myself in tears at the end of this book. I have loved the adventures of Jennifer, Tiger, the Princess, Quarkbeast, Colin and Feldspar, Once Magnificent Boo and the assorted wizards and sorcerers of Zambini Towers. How will I cope now?
Jasper Fforde is quite brilliant and I console myself that I still have Thursday Next and the Nursery Crimes team to turn to in my hour of need.
If you like fantasy fiction which is often silly but ultimately with a well crafted plot then these books are for you. The Age range says 12 to 16 but I'm 55 and I loved it. Highly recommended but do start with books 1 to 3 first.
Right, I'm off to buy Something Rotten (Thursday Next No 4).

Felt a little disconnected from the others in the series, and the epilogue was a super random way to end. Good vibes though.

Jasper Fforde doesn't disappoint. Satisfying closure of the 4 book series including some fun winks winks for fan club members and followers of Jasper's other books and style.
Now looking forward to reading the next shades of grey book!!

1. I love Jasper Fforde and put off reading this final installment too long. I love his weirdness, his nonsensical-ness, his humor.
2. The book did seem even more weird and inane to me because it had been too long since I read the first three books and remembered almost next to nothing. That's on me though. I did wonder if it would have hit differently if I read it immediately following the others.
3. My favorite part was on page 215.
4. I am really very torn on how I feel about that ending.
