This is one of my favorite books from childhood! I love reading about Phileas Fogg’s adventure around the world and all the interesting places he saw along the way. I recommend The Whole Story edition that is, sadly, out of print. It has beautiful illustrations that make the story come alive!

A good adventure story is always satisfying and inspiring.

Mir hat an der Geschichte gefallen, dass viel passiert ist und das Pacing für einen Klassiker recht schnell ist. Mich hat das Buch gut unterhalten, allerdings merkt man an vielen Stellen, dass es nicht mehr zeitgemäß ist. Außerdem stören mich Handlungen, die nur durch Zufall oder aufgrund von dummen Charakteren oder Entscheidungen funktionieren.

What I liked about this book is that a lot happened and it was pretty fast-paced for a classic. It was entertaining to read, but in many parts of the book I noticed how outdated it is. Besides that, it bothers me when the plot only works because of coincidences or stupid characters/decisions.
