When will I ever start off a review without having to say "Sally Hepworth blows my socks off"!
Honestly, I am a convert of the church of Sally and I haven't had a book I haven't enjoyed!
Darling Girls follows Jessica, Norah and Alicia, who were all raised by a terrible adoptive mother at "Wild Meadows". Many many years later, the girls remain the closest of sisters, and they are pulled back from their reality to confront their past when a body is discovered underneath the old Wild Meadows house.
This book beautifully intertwines each of the three sisters, their complete unique identities from each other, their upbringing and their current lives alongside the setting of the "then" and "now" at Wild Meadows.
As per usual, this book is full of twists and turns, and this one is a bit darker than previous books I've written, but that didn't stop me from powering through this in no time whatsoever. This book, much like Sally's back catalogue is gripping, full of amazing twists, and unputdownable.
