AWWWW omg im glad i read this!!! I couldn’t latch onto it many months ago when i first tried but im glad i gave it a retry. You really do find media at the right time. The grief in this book felt very familiar in a bittersweet nostalgic way. I’m always in awe when people can put seemingly indescribable emotions into perfect words to paint this whole picture.
I will say this book did feel like two different books into one, especially the right after the funeral and then the whole adventure with the Iain (Suzie and Finlay’s dad) having dementia and going to wherever he did and Finlay and Eve having to chase him part. It was really nice to see Eve grow so emotionally and be able to confront Ed the way she did at the cabin during Justin’s birthday weekend, because Finley was so right that Ed really was using her and he was using this “nice guy” act to justify his shitty behavior towards basically every woman in this book this whole time. Finley clocked Ed’s tea so fast.

My first 5⭐️ of 2025! Of course it would be a book that felt like an Emily Henry novel. This is everything I love in a romance! I would say this is more a contemporary romance than just a romance. The romance was definitely a side plot. This book mostly deals with grief and friendship. The characters felt so real, and there was great character development. This definitely took me on an emotional roller coaster and I loved every minute of it

I went into this book thinking it was a rom-com. It’s definitely not that. If I would’ve known what this was about, I likely wouldn’t have read it, but I had committed already. If you love women’s fiction with light romance, you’d probably enjoy this. I personally thought this book was way too long. It also took until almost the halfway point for me to see what direction the author was taking this. It was just fine.

En väldigt bra bok av en för mig ny författare och som fick mig att le, skratta, bli förvirrad, bli frustrerad och nästan gråta! Ser fram emot att läsa fler böcker av denna författare!
