This one came highly recommended but ultimately didn't really land with me. Aside from the last one the kills were really underwhelming for me. I never really got invested in the little romance which seemed undercooked to me, so the payoff wasn't really there at the end. Ultimately, I think I might just not be the right audience for this book so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

"You know, I told you we'd end up like a horror movie."

Cirque Berserk is a very fun slasher, and it's exactly what I was hoping for. The storylines move between the 80s and present time, and it was cool to see how everything panned out. This book is gory and entertaining, but I wish it would have had a few more rounds of editing - it was a little distracting at times. I had a lot of fun reading Cirque Berserk & I can't wait to see what Jessica Guess does next!
