This had such a promising and wtf start the first half was fantastic. The second half was so stupid and different from the first. I saw someone say they DNFd at 90% which I laughed at but at 87% the sex scene had me cackling in the most cringy way so I fully understand.

what a wild read!! i very much enjoyed this and all its craziness and probably highlighted too many parts of the MMC using pet names. i definitely thought i knew what was going to happen, but wow i was wrong in the best ways. definitely looking forward to reading more from this author!!!

Honestly a new favorite dark romance! I thought I enjoyed Phantom… why Slate can kidnap me any day! 😍 I could not stop reading this book, I loved every second of it!! The plot twist towards the end had me freaking out and setting my kindle down for a minute to let my heart catch up with my brain 🤣 I love the slow start and the chaos and the building of their relationship from start to finish! 🥰

Captor is a dark mafia romance full of unexpected twists, betrayal, and spice. Check trigger warnings before reading as the list is pretty extensive from torture to kinks. Brynne and Slate are drawn together out in the wilderness and despite both of their intentions things quickly spiral out of their control. This would have been a easy 5 star read for me but ultimately I felt some of the plot points and twists were just too convenient.
