I've been very lazy lately when it comes to writing reviews but honestly this book deserves a review. I've never connected to character so much in my life quite like Malika. Andre is my baby daddy and I love him

This book follows Andre and Malika who meet through mutual friends. They are both at a little get together when their friends pull out a Ouija board and yʻall already know—not everyone messes around with that stuff. So they both are like NOPE NOT TODAY and they leave together. They donʻt want the night to end so they decide to watch some horror movies at Malikaʻs house.

Andre and Malikaʻs vibes are immaculate. They both click instantly and they just have this connection right from the jump. And their scenes together are

After a breakup, Malika heads home to her parents' house for the weekend, choosing to attend a high school friend's 21st birthday rather than the Halloween festivities she helped plan at her now ex's fraternity.

Two nights of parties seems a bit much to Malika, but she reluctantly agrees to both, and meets the deliciously sexy Dre. As the only two Black people at the party, they decide to leave when the Ouija board gets brought out. Their immediate sparks leads to a hot as heck hookup, all weekend long.

But when it turns out a love spell was "cast" can Dre and Malika believe their new love is real?

This was seriously sexy, great characters, and a lot of fun. I'd argue it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, as Dre and Malika have decided to be a couple, but then they find out dun dun dun, there was a spell.

I hope the author writes more in this world!

You may not like ouija boards & the like but you must admit that sometimes your hot Halloween hookup just needs a little...paranormal boost
