Edit: My rating for all of his books will be changing to 1 (since there's no 0) since I recently learnt he was problematic and he has sexual misconduct allegations against him (google it or here's a link talking about Sexual Misconduct in Children's Book Publishing

Also I'm not gonna bother finishing the series or writing a full review. I might still finish the tv show not sure.

I'm not judging anyone who still loves these books (need to make that clear). If you can separate the art from the artist good on you. But I for one am not supporting someone who not only has problematic views but also negative actions that have affected others.

Kinda enjoyed it kinda frustrated by it. Will post full review when I'm in the mood. Will watch the episodes too based on this. Since this adaptation is pretty cool if the same people were involved with our PJO adaptation I'd be cool with it but like Uncle Rick is gonna be involved this time too so no worries right. Sorry for the derailing. I want to read PJO books again but then it's 13 books that i have to reread plus the Trials of Apollo and Magnus Chase ones too that i never read and that is intimidating me. Yeah i gotta stop with this irrelevant rant here Bye!

Not my favourite of the series but still a fun, quick read. As this series doesn't have many I tend to cling to the nice characters. So I loved Hector as a guardian, as cowardly as he is.

I felt this one had a lot of recaps, which were largely unnecessary. The narrative is as amazing as ever. Witty and humorous. Unfortunately, despite having only just read this book I have already forgotten a large part of the plot. But I am still looking forward to continuing this series.

4 STARS!

I see what everyone is saying now. It most definitely picks up on book 7 100 fucking percent!
I am so enveloped in this world and in the Baudelaire's lives that I physically get angry and curse at the characters when something doesn't work out or Olaf gets his way. And that ending? I'm glad it's taking a different route and shying away from the guardian to guardian borefest it was beginning to become. I'm excited to see what happens in The Hostile Hospital and finally get some answers on V.F.D. and some other tiny mysteries. :)

Now on to book 8!!
