I thought this book was such a refreshing take on a serial killer story. I loved the characters and felt deeply for each of them. The author did a great job of making it clear this story was about the women and took every chance she could get to tear down the killer. It felt well researched and well written, although slightly wordy at times. I really appreciated that the ending spoke to today's infatuation with serial killers while also not ostracizing it's audience. I find it hypocritical when crime books try to flip the script and make the reader feel bad for being interested in true crime. I felt that this book was very nuanced and made me think. 0.5 off was because it was a tad slow at some points but very close to a 5 star read for me

This is the way to honor the survivors and victims of this kind of story. Jessica Knoll did a really beautiful job, and the stories she created fit right in. Wow.
