Loved it! Especially loved the depiction of a deaf person who uses hearing aids -- that not all words are heard and sometimes you have the fill in the blanks. I also liked the learning sign vs not learning sign exploration.

Heartstopper-coded love story between theatre kids with disability rep in the MC, coffee shop kisses, and Iranian dance moves? Say less.

I have quibbles with a few things, including how (mild spoilers)
Jasmine was so patently awful the entire book that it felt fairly unbelievable that Jackson would care that much about protecting her feelings. The plot was fairly predictable, and there's the cheesiness factor in the ending (but I'm usually pretty ready to suspend my inner cynic, so that was okay).
But overall, this was an incredibly cute story full of heart, and a wonderful escapist read for a few days. And we need more mainstream queer love stories where the central conflict is not about coming out or homophobia (those are good and important, but not the only way to tell a queer love story), and this is definitely that.

If I had a nickel for every book I read where two leads in a Shakespeare play who are actually into each other kiss on stage, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened two books in a row.
