This was such a pleasant surprise when I started the series and this installment did not disappoint! DN Bryn gives us THAT WORK with this one. Unbelievably heavy and wholesome and just so damn beautiful.

I somehow liked this book a little less than the previous books in this series but that just might be because of the way that, as a reader, there was constantly the knowledge that 'shit is about to get down' or whatever, and things do get bad, and I felt that pain and all, but Rahil and Mercers relationship didn't really suffer much because of it. Which is great, seriously, I just think it reminds me too much of my own overthinking about things that aren't actually as bad as my head makes them out to be? Does that make sense? idk
I guess that was just a bit too close to my own mortal reality there.
But also,
there was a proposal, and that i really don't like in books or other media but it also wasn't that big of a topic to actually worsen my reading experience by much.

Other than that, it was a really great book, like the others. I adored the characters, especially Lydia, I'd like to be her friend, like seriously, she's so cool. Anyway, yeah that's about it.

A great addition to the series! This book had all the same charm as the previous books and it had me eating it up! There was the right amount of angst as well as the right amount of healing and softer parts within the book. The author knows how to portray the character's feelings to the reader. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Mercer and Rahil. I also loved Lydia's character and her relationship with Rahil. I also felt like this book had a lot more tie ins and cameos of the previous couples in the series. It makes me excited how everything may come together in the final book!

Thank you to the author for providing me an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
