I only read this book because I had to for a class. This isn't the kind of book I normally read so that is probably why I didn't like it much.

Really prescient and beautifully written, but maybe a little too esoterically tech-y for me to really feel totally immersed instead of somewhat lost in the world built within. Still: it’s dark and cool and definitely influenced sci-fi and the future-present real world more than we may ever know. More like 3.5 stars… Not my favorite Gibson though.

Amazing. That's the only word I have for it. Am kicking myself for not reading this sooner.

Let me tell u- I was so confused in the beginning but omg once I understood this book was great. Also it's an incredible work for inspiring a lot of other incredible things such as the World Wide Web.

I found Neuromancer to be extremely overrated and overhyped. I read it many, many years ago...so I should perhaps revisit it. The book just did not resonate with me, and I consider myself a fan of the cyberpunk genre. Considering this is the book that birthed the genre you think I would have like it better.

Excellent read. I'm sure I'm missed certain subtleties but this was really great. Amazing that this was written in 1983.
