Definitely for the younger YA readers. I really liked the plot and premise of this, but for me I felt there was connection with the characters. It was hard to believe that they formed bonds without much conversation or actual time spent with each other. The only ones that could have been believable would have been Lily and Liza and that was brushed over. Also the estranged relationship the mc has with her dad and while at the beginning you get a sense that she still has some hope about them having a relationship, that gets lost later on. In general there’s a lack of feeling or getting a sense of….. there’s some thought but doesn’t seem to develop from thought to feeling to action.
I think younger readers will like the fast pace and probably be a ok with the lack of feelings involved. But for me, I’m not invested enough to find out what happens next.
