The series has moved forward in leaps and bounds. The sa'kui female who has been to young to mate with is now of age. She doesn't want just anyone. She doesn't want someone she grew up with. She wants someone who will cherish her for the woman she is, and not remember her as the young girl.

When a carrier space ship has to make a landing for repairs, it has several sa'kui people on board. Their species is a thousand years more advanced and they are no longer called sa'kui.

Farli is out hunting when she comes across this ship that has appeared out of no where.

The drama ensues and the village is turned upside down with this news.

Farli’s Story!!!

I’ve been so excited to read about Farli and who she would resonate with!! Of course it’s a rough former soldier who lands on the ice planet on accident. Mardok has layers and does t understand the primitive world but all he knows are his feelings for Farli! This might be my favorite book of the series! It’s full of decisions and looking at change!

5 stars!
I don't care that people make fun of this series, I am legitimately OBSESSED with Ruby's mind after this. Not only did she give me a new top 3 favorite couple of the whole series, but she also expanded the entire universe AND gave us so much lore about the Sa-Khui. It is so fascinating to see the history of the tribe unfold, and I'm so excited to see what is uncovered with Mardok in the picture. Mardok and Farli are also the cutest things I have ever seen, and it was such a pleasure to see them giddy over each other. Overall, this book just felt like a pivotal piece of the future of the series, and I am so excited to see where it goes from here!

I quite enjoyed this book. It focused less on the humans and opened up the world a bit more. Farli is such a sweetheart and she was lovely to read about. Mardok was a bit more of a complex love interest and it felt more real than some of the other stories. Interested to see where the story will continue to. Can't believe I have binged 11 of these.
