Fun, rhyming story that gives brief information about what each animal wears - would be a good introductory text for animal adaptations/how animals use external parts to survive. Good backmatter that gives more information about each animal.

Spectacular illustrations and simple text make this a winner for both one-on-one storytime and a crowd. For older kids there's the opportunity to talk about each of the animals, although as other reviewers have noted, the back matter doesn't identify the specific species of animals included. For example, the frogs are just "frogs," with no information about the frogs that provided the model for the illustration.
