It was okay. Seemed to drag in the middle and there's no real explanation for things which is usual for Ito, but here it just worked less

Not 100% nihilistic but close, very gross, like a twisted lovecraftian horror... Lots of cosmic licking

Not long after the world rejoices a new scientific discovery, a planet jettisoned through a wormhole, it becomes clear that the world is ending.  Can such a threat be eliminated by proxy - Remina the girl for Remina the planet? A gorgeously illustrated sci-fi horror story, Remina shows many human follies -pride, vanity, entitlement, idolatry, hive mind - and their most horrifying consequences.

Great art, bonkers story; like a disaster movie on acid.

I’d definitely add this one to Ito’s “cosmical” genre of his work. Focused on the universe, including galaxies, planets, and the end of the world/humanity. Using those characteristics he develops the story of the main character that has to go through these unstoppable situations. Using those descriptions I’d compare it to Sensor (also a work of Ito’s) for containing the same characteristics in the story. If you’ve read Sensor before, I hope that my review gives you an idea of how Remina looks like. Definitely not for me, but I’ll acknowledge that it’s because of my taste and not the quality of the work.
