All of the emotions I felt while reading this book had me UNWELL. This story was absolutely incredible.

Please before reading, read the TWs and be aware that there are heavier topics in this book.

Tessa’s character development absolutely stole the show for me. Being able to see her character go from this shy and timid woman to a strong, independent one who looks after and takes care of herself was AMAZING. Especially with her backstory and how much of her power was taken from her. She was such an incredible FMC.

I loved Liam’s character as well. He was gentle and patient with Tessa in every way she needed and made her feel safe to grow into the woman he knew she could be. Their relationship was so cathartic and healing for the both of them.

I absolutely adore Catherine and she never fails to deliver an incredible story.

Yet another wonderful book by Catherine Cowles. We have met both of the main characters before in Further to Fall and Beautifully Broken Pieces, but now we get to hear their stories. Liam is a rock star with a seriously deranged stalker and Tessa is living in fear of her abusive ex. This book was so beautifully written, paying great respect to the trauma that Tessa has been through and the steps Liam takes to try to win her over and show her how real love should be. Even though Liam is gentle and caring, this book makes you feel everything - whether it's happy tears, sad tears, angry tears or just pure happiness - you won't be able to put it down. Every turn of the page winds towards and beautiful conclusion.

This was beautiful story of a woman escaping an abusive relationship. This story had me giggling, crying, and on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. Cathrine Cowels really knows how to writing a suspenseful, and cozy romance book!

“I want you with me. Always and forever. And I’m ready for forever to start right now.”

This book was really not that different from the first one, I feel like it is the definition of "same story, different fonts".. But still, not bad I guess..

CW : domestic abuse.

Right off the rip we get to see how sweet Liam is towards Tessa and clearly how much he already worries for her. Then throughout the book how much Tessa blooms and becomes more confident in herself after struggling with an abusive past. The ending in this book was pretty predictable but still very well written and enjoyed every last second of it.

Where do I begin? What a beautiful story with amazing characters.

This is book 2 in The Sutter Lake Series, which is about Tessa and Liam. I knew from when we met Tessa, she had a story to tell. I didn't imagine how bad it was though. My heart broke for her and all that she endured. Enter Liam who who's in Sutter Lake to get away from the fame and just wants peace. Who knew what he was running from too.

With the two of them together, we see a story about hurt, love, learning to trust again, believing in yourself , acceptance and happiness. Catherine brought out all the feels making this one of my top reads for 2019!!
.
I cant wait for the next book in this series! Those two I have been waiting for since day one❤❤

The great thing about taking a chance on new authors is you see how amazing their writing is can't wait for everyone to experience it for themselves. Just know that Catherine is one to look out for and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!
