Loved this dive and speculation about Katherine of Aragon. A nice mix of historical fact with speculative fiction.
I listened to this book on audible. Had I been reading, I think I might have given up on it. But because someone was reading it to me when I was stuck in the car on a long drive I plowed on. While I am glad I did, I didn't love this book. I don't know a lot about Tudor history, and found myself looking on wikepedia (not while driving of course!) to find out about Catherine of Aragon and Henry the 8th. I learned about the divorce and the subsequent split from the church, and wanted to get to that portion of the story. Sadly, this book only deals with the first part of the history. That part, the divorce/annulment and Catherine's later years, are all glossed over in the last few minutes of the book. While I am not sad I read this book, I can't say I loved it. I did learn a lot about Tudor's though, so that it why I gave it 3 stars.

This book takes an interesting look into the life of Queen Katherine. Not the best book by Phillipa, but if you enjoy her series on the Tudors you cannot miss this book.
i had wonderful journey in Alhambra palace, with interesting traditions of moors. there was a feeling like i was Scheherazade from 1001 night..this book also make me interested to read something about Brave Isabella I of Castile, but what about her daughter Catherine of Aragon? i wished to reed more information about her later life and future, she had so sad fate :(
