I enjoyed this book. I started watching the showtime original "The Tudors" and wanted more. I had heard of "The Other Boleyn Girl" and thought it best to read the Tudor Court books in chronological order. Good storytelling. The only issue I had was the end of the book, it felt way too rushed!

4 1/2 stars - I know Gregory is criticized for taking liberties with history, but she can sure write one fantastic story! With this one, she examines the early life of Katherine of Aragon, a time which is often forgotten in favor of the more well-known events of the Boleyn years. I've long admired and pitied Katherine. She really got a raw deal. I knew she was Ferdinand and Isabella's daughter, but Gregory strongly highlights the impact this must have had on the formation of her character. Also, the time between Arthur's death and her marriage to Henry is often brushed over. Gregory paints a compelling picture of how pitiable this time must have been for her. While some of her speculations may or may not be true to history, they are fascinating storytelling! Although I don't agree with everything she's proposing, she does give a great and compelling hypothesis for why things happened the way they did. For the most part, I think she accurately portrays the personalities of the people, and does a masterful job at describing the era. Highly Recommended!

----- Philippa Gregory

I love this series so much. Philippa Gregory is so talented with making history interesting by putting her own spin on the truth.

The Constant Princess is about Queen Katherine of Aragon and her life. Katherine was born a Spanish princess and was betrothed to the prince of Wales when she was an infant. We get to journey along with her on her quest to become queen of England.

I admire Katherine's determination and drive so much. She is such a strong woman living in a time where women were not respected. My heart broke for her during her heartbreaks, especially when she lost Arthur and her children. I gave The Constant Princess 5 stars, just like the others. I cannot wait to continue this series!!!!

I have really enjoyed all of the Philippa Gregory audiobooks I have come across so far.

I thought the writing and narration was beautifully done and the 17 hours flew by for me.

Although, I found Katherine's character to be somewhat obsessive during her waiting period to marry Harry but perhaps Gregory did that on purpose. To show how strong Katherine was in her convictions.

One of my all-time favorite books.

I've read many Philippa Gregory books over the years, and I always forget how much I enjoy them. This book made me want to read her other books about Henry VIII's wives.
