This book is about a small team of four, Edward Malone a journalist, Professor George Challenger, Dr. Summerlee a Zoologist and Lord Roxton a hunter/adventurer, going out to the unexplored land of the Amazon in search of a lost world full of Dinosaurs and danger. None of then expected to get what they got.
As I read this I tried not to compare it to Jurassic Park but it's hard not to. I expected more blood and violence not cave men ans Indians. And what upset me the most was that the T-Rex nor the Valosoraper (2 of my favs) wasn't in the book.

The racism expressed in this book overwhelms a lot of it, its just so casual and accepted.
I wasn't that impressed. Challenger was a huge asshole and had every chance to be interesting. Since I've only read Doyle's Sherlock Holmes series, it's what I can compare it to the most. I thought they were written in a similar fashion; the outsider taking watch in on what's going on through memories. The way it started, I didn't care for. Romance was just thrown in, and I guessed it would be destroyed. The story itself was predictable, probably why I spaced quite a bit of it out.
This book has hilarious dialogue between characters. Really enjoyed it.
I'd never read this classic until I picked up a free copy as part of the Aye Write! festival/Darwin 200 celebrations. While the scientific underpinnings of Doyle's South American plateau where dinosaurs still roam is long-gone, the adventure it hold together is still highly engaging and enjoyable.
La verdad, estaba hasta riendome de gusto porque...es una historia vieja y se nota? Pero el final no me gusto nada nada. SO, tres estrellas.
Read Harder Challenge #11(a): A children’s classic published before 1980.
Had the hardest time finding a single book considered a classic that I hadn’t already read. After paging through a dozen lists this and one other emerged.
