On holidays this week so I have a little more time to read. I figured I needed a little palette cleanse from all the psychological thrillers I have been reading and chose this one from kindle unlimited.

We are introduced to Cal and Lucia. Cal is the ultimate software engineer book nerd and Lucia is one of the worlds top supermodels with over 5 million followers on Instagram. So yes, basically, it’s a story about two worlds colliding and falling in love.

First part of the book is all “awww, so cute, these two opposites like each other”

Second part all of a sudden is “woah” “woah” “WOAH” and having me looking around guilty as if anyone can tell what extreme graphic smut I just read!

I think even I blushed a few times in this book. ( fans self) who knew an inexperienced nerdy guy could do such things ( sprays self with water mist )

It’s a very easy light read with a lot of “relations” and, of course, a HEA.

Okay, back to my next psychological thriller.

Was the dialogue a bit cringy sometimes? Yes. Did I thoroughly enjoy this slow burn of a romance? Yes.

Nerd meets intelligent model. It's a great plot, great execution, and interesting characters. Although we get a HEA, it wasn't as obvious of an ending as I thought, which was pleasantly surprising.

Would read again!

A beautiful story <3

So lovely and heartfelt. The characters, with their flaws and awkwardness, truly shine. And the poetry and storytelling weaved throughout make you want to run out and explore the great unknown. The sex is pretty hot too ;-)

This book was goooood. Really f*king good. I don't remember the last time I read a book that surprised me this much.
The plot was perfect, with a surprising and novel story.
The characters.. God, the characters alone set the book into a 5 star. It was really refreshing to read about a hero with real personality traits, with insecurities and capable of blushing, but that is also a alfa when needed. For me, Calvin is a perfect book boyfriend. Also, Lucia had a great evolution during the book. She starts as a hollow person but soon you understand where she comes from.
And the sex scenes... wow, over the top hot

Thank you Kathryn Nolan, please gimme more

Cal and Lucia...sigh. I had a hard time getting my thoughts together to tell you why you HAVE to read this book. Cal is a very shy "nerdy" guy who keeps his desires hidden, fearing others reaction to them. Lucia is a supermodel who is hiding her dreams of writing poetry and being tired of the modeling world.

In each other, they find the other half of themselves. Without giving too much away, I'll simply say - it was so refreshing that both chose their path without the other pressuring them to do it. Both were stronger than they think and perfect together.

Kathryn Nolan's writing is among the best out there. Her words flow and captivate the reader, jumping off the page to make you think you're standing with them on a cliff in Big Sur. I can't recommend this book enough!!!

I walked into this book not even checking the synopsis. I downloaded it from KU because I saw an author I like post it on their instagram and thought I needed a new author to read. I think that benefitted me because I had zero expectations. Because my goodness was this book entertaining. I usually hate insta-love plot lines but I really liked how this grew. It worked with this.
I won’t lie, Lucia irritated me greatly with the obsession with attention equating to love for her, but on the other hand that’s what she grew up with. Her entire adolescence was about getting validation from outside sources.
But Calvin. Oooooooh Calvin you naughty minx. I did NOT see that coming (lol) and I don’t want to spoil it for others but let me just say it’s always the quiet ones

A Masterpiece

Lucia and Cal are such a brilliant couple. The chemistry is evident from their first meeting and, it is off the charts. I felt every emotion these 2 experienced. Grab a box of tissues and prepare to be transported to Big Sur, the best place on Earth!
